  1. You will loose some range because the 12V Marine batteries have about 800 amp hours of capacity (do not confuse amp hours capacity with cold cranking amps, they are not the same thing!), the 6V Work Hog battery has between 1100 and1200 amp hours of capacity.  The general performance will be similar when the batteries are fully charged because in either case the entire set is wired in series for 36 Volts of operating power. The lower total capacity 12 Volt batteries will simply run down sooner under continuous use.

    I would suggest that unless you are experiencing performance issues just use the 12 Volt batteries you have and replace as is when they fail, but if the run time you have is not adequate then upgrade to the 6 volt Work Hog's.    


  2. You have less weight with three batteries but your running time may be less as well as maximum current. With 12volt batteries, you have many places to buy new batteries/price shop.

  3. there isn't any,either you but 1 ,12vlt batt. or 2-6vlt batt. when they go bad,either way your gonna spend money.and they both serve the same purpose.
