I will be moving to London with my new husband soon. He is British; I am American. I have never been there! I am very excited but I don't know what sort of styles ppl wear there and I don't want to look out of fashion. What are some stores young women in their mid twenties would shop at?

Thanks!

  3. Well there's a shop called H&M. They sell cool clothes. Not sure if you have it over in USA but if you want an idea of what type of clothes they sell, here's a link to their site...http://www.hm.com/gb/#/startpagedefault/

There's also a shop called Primark which sells really cheap clothes, but really nice too. Like you can get tops for like £2, jeans for like £6 and shoes for like £3!

There's also a shop called Topshop. Here's the link to the site so you can see what their type of clothes are like...http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores...

    Hope I've helped!

  4. Topshop, H&M, Miss Selfridge, Debenhams.  How about looking in fashion magazines for ideas?  Also they list where the clothes they show are from, so you could find out where is good to shop!  You will love London, I am sure!  Good luck. x

  5. Mid twenties would be Dorothy Perkins, Next, Debenhams, Oasis, Monsoon, Wallis, Miss Selfridges, Top Shop.

  6. the following shops; primark, topshop, miss selfridge, urban outfitters, american apparel, h&m, river island, dorothy perkins, warehouse, and even george @ asda & tesco.

The looks for england right now is tartan, but dont step out like the scottish national flag please, just a little bit here and there, maybe a handbag, or a belt, perhaps even a tartan kilt but remember to pair it well with a tee or jacket.

a massive style over here is also skinny jeans, dark blue skinny jeans & white pumps - like used in a gym class, like plimsolls even, but which tie up. they also go in black aswell.

high waisted shorts & jeans & skirts are loved by nearly everything and everything! get them in ANY colour, and pair with flat shoes or pumps, or even wedges and a tee shirt.

plain tee shirts go well for a casual look with just jeans.

other shoes that are in are uggs, gladiator sandals and chanel-esque pumps. its not too big on labels in britain.

another thing to remember is britian loves over sized bags.. i'll leave some images below.

Its important to remember that in England, any look pretty much goes t hough, as long as you visibly have the confidence to pull it off. No one really cares what you look like, so i was surprised when i went to certain parts of america, and they were so image concious! there are particular trends in england like above, and style icons like below, but pretty much ANYTHING goes :)

A word of advice though, London is a fast moving place! You may feel out of fashion but it's important to remember you'll pick up their style soon and no one's actually looking at you, its a city of business and the only time people mainly venture at your age is after half five when the majority of work is over. London is a REALLY fashionable place, but it's amazing too! Pretty isolated but you get used to it. Wish you all the best.
