Have i been hacked?..............?

Question

i downloaded a torrent, i then extracted the files with winrar, then i ran the updater with came in the file i downloaded and it said in a box system will shutdown in 5 seconds youve been hacked but it said in the same box this is totally harmless!

but how do i know thats actaully true?

is there a way to find out if ive not been hacked?

help really appreciated!

It's the shell shutdown command. You don't need any anti-virus or anything to get rid of it, just don't open it it anymore.

FYI: The next time something like that pops up, quickly go to Start > Run and type "shutdown -a", and hit enter

I suggest you ignore if  your anti virus is working fine.

For your information anyway, most computers are virus infected via downloading from internet.

Hi there! Don't worry, it's a simple application. I do some things like this to my mates :P. But you gotta be careful! If you have a Anti virus do a full scan. You can also do a system restore if the PC is running bad.
