  1. most people end up with jobs that have nothing to do with their school results!

you can do whatever u want it really doesnt matter...

obviously if u want to go to uni u will need to do other courses in college to get urself in...

but u could set up ur own business!

learn about something else thats nothing to do with school

I didnt do good in my results either, but i took up flying lessons and have worked at a training school

dont get too upset about ur results, you'll be just fine

  2. Most employers will want English and Maths as a minimum. It really depends what sort of job you want when you finish your studies. If you worked as hard as you could and got these results then you may need help to get a better pass. If you didn't work hard then this will show you that you need to. There should be someone at school you can talk to about your options.

  3. Ive done just as bad! English lit-c english- lang- d drama- b maths-f science-g science b unit 1- d science b unit 2-NO RESULT im still going to try n get in collage though

  4. Definitely re-take science, English and maths at college. That will help a lot, them you can at least do what you want. Are you after a vocational course or A-levels?

Don't worry too much about the results. Did you try your best or  were you lazy all year. If it was the latter that should be a wake up call to get your butt into gear. But if you did try your best, don't worry about it, there's always another option. If you want A- levels you'll have to retake but i think you should be able to get on mos vocational courses with a D, but you may need to re-sit the english or maths.

Have you considered a apprenticship. What do you want to do in the future? you need to decide, now.

Maybe talk to a careers advisor.

There's plenty of careers out there, just find one that plays to your strengths and interests.

  5. I would really think hard about going to college.  It's very different from school and you might like it.  At least go to an open day so that you can check it out.  Most careers will expect you to have a least basic maths and english, so even if you do a vocational course at college you'll be expected to do basic skills.  Have a talk to your local Connexions about your options.

Remember it's not the end of the world, you can take them again and two years might seem like an age but it's not nearly as long as forty-nine years in a job you hate.

    Good Luck.

  6. They are pretty bad, BUT it's not the end of the world and it won't ruin your life. If I were you, I'd take English, Maths, Science and maybe another subject. I know you said that you don't want to retake any, but you can do them in 1 year instead of 2, and it'll be worth it. Most jobs ask for a C in English and maths. You could do something more vocational, but sometimes those type of courses still ask for higher grades.

Have you ever been to 'Connexions'? I think they can advise you on that kind of thing.

Also, what career do you want to do? Is there a specific college course that you want to go on? If so, check out the website and see what GCSEs you'll need.
