  1. You need to see a physician right away or go to the emergency room.

    Tell the doctor where you were and you will have several tests done to diagnose the problem.

    You most likely picked up a parasite in Turkey.

    But don't worry, you will be okay once you receive the correct treatment.

    I hope you will be feeling better very soon.

  2. It will ware off soon, don't forget the change in water and weather. It happens to most people when they go away. If it lasts long go and see a doctor. Good luck.

  3. Sounds like you picked something up. Eat any fresh fruit or veg, unpasteurised honey, undercooked meat or at any slightly unhygienic restaurants? Can be that easy to pick something up. There are may bacteria and parasites that can cause your symptoms, and contaminated food sounds a more likely cause than mosquitoes. as long as you are drinking enough you should be ok, but go see a doctor asap so, if you need any meds, you can start em quick. I had something similar in africa and it may not go away without treatment.

    So no, its not serious as long as you stay hydrated, but see a doctor asap.

  4. Dang - why don't people go to the doctor??????

    You better call an infectious disease doctor for an appt.

  5. Turkish people make good rice. Yum. So yeah go see a doctor.

  6. Emma D;

    did you visit the doctors prior to your trip, were you fully immunized before your trip. It sounds like you caught a gastrointestinal virus while in turkey.

    Mosquitoes are not a cause of headaches or nausea, they are a cause of mosquito bites. Some diseases can be transmitted by mosquitoes and that is the reason for seeing a travel doc or clinic before going to a foreign country.

    time for you to go to the doctor and be careful at home, this could be a virus that you simply caught from touching a doorknob after someone elsewith the virus touched the same k**b.

    so, if there is more than 1 bathroom where you live, 1 bathroom should be just yours. nobody even goes in there until you are back to normal-after which you go crazy with lysol spraying everything in the bathroom. if there is 1 bathroom, then after you use the bathroom spray the lysol liberally, that way at least the whole family has less risk of catching this. For now try to stick to bland food;rice applesauce,toast/crackers, water,but you may want to get seen by your doc

  7. my friend's big sister is 17 and she had that same symptoms. She had to go for an operation ore she could have died. go to the doctor fast!

  8. You want some parasite eating you up? Please go see a doctor and tell the doctor what you told us here. And please get well.

  9. Son, you need to tell your mom about these nausea, headaches & diarrea . Please dont take it for granted. You might be dehydrated, and that would be another problem. Have your blood tested. GO!
