  1. Not at all it sounds like you are trying to eat healthy, but don't forget the major food groups to maintain good health

  2. Ok i didnt read the question first time. lol

  3. It sounds like it, it depends on how intense you write things down. But here is an easy way to fix all this. When you consume enough calories, you will feel full. That is about it. It really is amazing how the body works. Now the key is making sure you eat the right amount of nutrients (you can get hungry if you lack that too). So here is a good guide for how much to eat of what.

its healthy, good guide for being looking to control their weight. He also has a rule that says...

    Health = Nutrients / calories

meaning your health is related to how many nutrients you can get out of how many calories. So you can eat that fatty steak, just realize it is low on nutrients but high in calories. Meanwhile you could eat like peanutes, also high in calories but high in Nutrients as well. So choosing things that are high in nutrients per calorie is the way to go.

  4. Been there done that

    yes.

stop it right now it kills everything

  5. Sounds like you are becoming a bit obsessive. Could develop into one if this continues.

  6. I dont think that you have an eating disorder at all. Every persons body and body type is different, especially the way that they react to food. If anything, I think that you are being careful and responsible, and not to mention wise to watch your portions as well as your calorie intake.

  7. You didn't give enough information.  It depends on how many calories you get in a day.  If you get enough calories and nutrition you will be fine.  If you are living on a can of pumpkin and 2 pieces of pickled celery a day, you probably have an eating disorder.

If you can see your ribs you need to eat more.

It's not healthy to cut out most food groups.  You can cut the meat, milk, and junk, but you should keep the veggies, fruit, grains, and other stuff.

  8. If you're doing it to control weight and are motivated solely by a number on the scale, calories and your own perceptions of how fat you feel you are, yes.

I'm vegan and have cut out certain food groups (dairy, eggs, meat) but I have replaced all the calories, fat and other nutrients in foods from other food groups.

If you are restricting food groups and not replacing it with equivalent nutrition, and you are strictly eliminating foods in general that you perceive to be "bad" (like desserts or fried foods) then you probably have an ED as well.

Writing your calories down is not a problem in and of itself, my dad does it because he's diabetic and needs to control his weight. But if you're writing down to the calorie, obsessively, counting in the slice of lemon with your tea and weighing your food and trying to always routinely, obsessively fit under a certain amount of calories, you are certainly very ill.

    The best signs are:

    - you are obsessed with weight and weight loss

-you control how you eat or how you feel about yourself and even your plans for the day based on what you weigh or how "fat" you feel that day

-you associate certain foods with making people "fat" and never eat them, for instance anything with oil or dessert that isn't sugar free, and do not let yourself enjoy these foods even in moderation

    - you have EVER thrown up to relieve a feeling of fullness, you have ever thrown up to lose weight, you have ever taken laxatives (falsely believing they will remove calories - wrong, you shed some water weight but they have no impact on calories)

    - you obsess about food, think about it, weigh it, plan meals and activities days in advance sometimes to regulate calories and you plan how you'll duck out of eating socially or with friends

Obviously if you're already worrying you might have an eating disorder, you are picking up a feeling that something isn't "right".

Go with that feeling and get help before it ruins your life and ultimately even kills you (out of all psychological disorders, eating disorders are probably one of the most deadly, if not THE most deadly). I have seen more people die in my life from complications of an eating disorder than of cancer or heart disease (either through experiences with patients or friends or family).

  9. Well what you're doing isnt exactly an "eating disorder" but is sure signs of it,youre at the beginning stages of it and are obsessed with it

  10. You may not know it, but its the beginning of developing one

  11. it depends on what you are cutting out. i am a raw vegan so i only eat fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds. my health it better than ever. i dont have to worry about if i am getting enough calories or anything of that sort but i know i am.
