Another gymnastic question: With the idea of gymnastics i'm full of determination but i've been told that i've got the wrong body type. I'm 16, 6 foot, 10.5 stone and have quite long legs in comparison to my body, despite this i'm quite muscley and don't appear to be 'lanky'. I've heard body type doesn't matter as much with guys but i'm worried my age and body type will hamper my chances of getting flexible and gymnastic...Thanks a lot.

  1. I think that the best way to find this out is to try!

I think that anyone any size can do gymnastics, but you have to have a talent and the desire to do so! And being flexable really has nothing to do with how big or skinny you are. It is how much you work on it and what techniques you are doing.

you may be a little tall which is sometimes a disadvantage but you can do it!

also for your age you are starting a little late so it is going to be really hard for you.

  2. i doesn't matter how tall u r but the latter u start gymnastics the harder it is to learn new skills and also if u aren't flexible and are starting gymnastics a an older age it is much harder to become flexible

and if u want to be on team u will feel weird becuase everybody else will be like 6, 7, 8 years old

you also could do a tumbling class which is only flips and stuff no team

    you should try it
