Are there any signs that might indicate knowing someone from a past life?? i believe in past lives so dont bother telling me they dont exist. But what are some signs that i know him from a past life?

The bible says "it is appointed for man to die once and then the Judgement". However people have met people who they feel they have known them before, yet have never met them in their present life before. Demons inhabit people frequently. These demons have lived on earth before man came here. The demons know everyone they have ever lived in and influenced. When the demons meet again in different people, they will influence the person to feel as though they met before. Let's hope you never experience this. If you do, go to a pastor for deliverence (exorcism).

Look for other coincidences.

I agree that it may be an ancestor or family member - time doesn't appear to be an issue with this one.

The connection is usually made with the eyes - as if there is some part of you - waving at some part of them to say hi.

It is an attraction, but not love - more of a recognition.

You will probably find out that they have a hobby that you feel you could be good at, or have done similar things. - Shared interests.

You could try meditation, and meet them astrally - and see what you talk about.

It's not something you could definately find an answer to.

Joe bloggs born 700 years ago they may well be. Maybe there is an easier answer to all this and that some how the atoms keep some sort of memory of their previous existence. Who knows? I suppose that's the point. Maybe we have been looking at it from the wrong angle...Some people we feel a strong connection to. maybe you do know them but on a level you could never comprehend. No offence intended...

they say souls tend to go from lifetime to lifetime in groups. for example.. your husband in your current life could have been you child or parent or spouse in a previous life.. a close family friend of ours who is psychic.. says that my mum and i were sisters in a past life..

I don't know about signs but I can tell you what happend to me.  I originally come from Wales, moved to Africa then Canada and back to Wales.  While in Canada I went to high school and met this guy.  We were friends during high school and for about a year after until he moved back to America.  About 15 years later when I was living back in Wales and training as a student nurse I had several experiences.  I was on the ward working one day and heard this enormous crash outside that sounded like two cars had hit each other in the car park.  I ran to the window but there was nothing to see and then asked patients and staff if they had heard that loud, loud noise, but no one else had.  I suddenly had a terrible feeling that my friend of all those years ago had been in a car crash and been killed.  I went to the toilet and cried.  I went home from work and at the end of the day went to bed.  In the middle of the night I woke up and knew he was dead.  I had a feeling as if something inside me had left me, like some sort of connection was brocken and something in me was now gone.  In the middle of the night I sobbed hysterically, I even went outside in the rain and thunder tearing at my hair and threw dirt over myself.  I think I was hysterical with grief.  

Some time after this weeks or months I can't remember.  I was very ill and got up in the middle of the night to write at my desk.  I suddenly went into a near faint and slumped over the destk.  I remember not being able to move or call for help, hearing my breathing and heart sounding really strange.  In my mind and with a lot of effort I started to pray for help.  Though not a Christian I do know that God exists.  Well it's hard to explain what happend next because I didn't see or hear anything, but I could feel the presence of my friend in the room as if he was there and coming towards me, with the great surprise that there was a human shaped entity that radiated love that was also him.  I know this seems unimaginable, but this was not my imagination everything he was except for the physical appearance and sound of his voice, was there, you could say the content was there.  It was a little difference and like I said there was also love.

Now, at some point, I think befor any of this happend I had a dream where I was in a cottage, it looked like the old days.  I was a young, heavily, pregnant woman standing by a fireplace stirring a large pot.  Behind me was this scruffy looking man of a similar age.  We both had north of England accents.  He was my husband in my dream.  Even though it was a dream I remember hearing my own thoughts which said about the man "this is P" (name of my friend).

Now the funny thing about this is that I hadn't seen my friend since we were 18 and had no contact with him except two letters in the first year he went back to America.  I was in my early thirties when this happend so hadn't had any contact from him for something like 15 years.  The man in the dream looked nothing like him.  My friend looked a little like nicolas cage and the man in my dream looke more like a scruffy robert redford.  What is even stranger is that my friend was g*y and because of a medical condition I'm more or less asexual, that is with out sexual desires.  

I would say if you have an experience like this there is a good chance that you knew each other at some other time.

My friend and I only knew each other for about 3 years, in our late teens.  At the time this happend I was extremely ill with a large undiagnosed tumor.  I think he came to help me in a time of physical crisis.

That's kind of a religious question. No one can tell you yes for sure, no one can tell you no and prove it, so it remains a matter of faith.

From the scientific perspective, there isn't any compelling evidence to believe that we live multiple lives, though that hasn't stopped the Past Life Regression craze (see first link). Past life experiences have been studied in a controlled way by Dr. Ian Stevenson (a psychiatrist and founder of research on reincarnation). However, even he admits that his research did not produce compelling evidence (see 2nd & 3rd links).

I don't think there is any real way to tell (via acceptable scientific evidence) and if you have a good connection with a person in this life (for whatever reason) then I would simply enjoy that connection and count myself lucky.

However, if you are one of those people (I'm one) that likes to just think of possibilities then here is the start of an idea for investigating.

You go to a past life regression hypnotist (without your friends knowledge) and attempt to identify yourself and your friend in your past life. Of course suggestibility and wanting this to be true can cause you to make this up under hypnosis but hold on for part 2 and 3.

Part 3: You compare results (they usually tape record sessions for you). Did you both identify each other and your selves with the same name and in the same time period? Then you have something unusual. True this could be explained by clairaudience or telepathy type ESP (you became aware of your friends information during the session or from the information recorded on the tape).

Either way you still have something that could be evidence of something unusual.

If you know information about them and their family that you couldn't possibly know (or figure out) by normal means then you may also have something to use as evidence. For instance details of a great grandmothers death in their family that even your friend doesn't know (but hopefully can confirm with other members).

I think when you feel like you've known the person for years, even though you might have only met five minutes ago.  Sometimes your dreams might let you know if you've known this person in a previous life...or they may give you  glimpse into one of your previous lives...like watching a movie.

I'm not at all sure how this sort of thing works, but the last time I met a stranger that I felt like I'd known before turned out to be interesting. I saw a black haired woman who I felt instantly comfortable with and who seemed very familiar to me. I started a conversation with her and learned she was from Canada. I mentioned that part of my mother's family was from Canada, and that some were Native American. The woman smiled at me and said she was a full-blooded Cree. That's the same tribe that some of my mother's ancestors belonged to. This was the first time I'd ever met a Cree (I'm primarily of European descent). I want to stress that this is not necessarily due to what is thought of as reincarnation, and there may be some sort of instinct at work here. Either way, I had a very real sense of having known this woman before.

Well sorry, but regardless of your personal belief, there is no indication, no evidence and no reason supporting the idea that humans have had multiple lives.

Since there is no evidence, you believe in past lives on faith mixed with magical thinking.  If past lives exist in such a context, then why can't past friends exist?  So, sure, you knew this person in a past life.  In fact, you were married and lived in a house with a white picket fence.  If you're going to make things up, go all out and have some fun with it.

This feeling the others are talking about...that you have known this person before..that can also happen for a different reason. It can be someone from your past in THIS life. That happened to me. I kept thinking this person was so "familiar"..but I couldn't figure out why. So I thought maybe he was "the one" etc..Well, he knew he knew me..but just didn't tell me that we had known each other.

Also..a psychic told me this and I wish I had believed her. She said that if you know a person who is evil and you see someone who reminds you of her/him...there's a good chance they could be the same type person. This also happened to me..but I didn't recognize it in time.

You probably don't understand what I'm talking about..but try to remember it. Someday you might understand it.

  I don't know about knowing someone from a past life..but from what I've heard..and read..it's usually someone who caused you trouble or you caused them trouble and you need to get it right in this life. It doesn't necessarily mean it's your long lost love from another life.

PS..I have insomnia too!! lol
