  1. well there are two options. 1)you could contact the company that makes the dvd player and order a new one (kind of a pain) or 2) you could buy a universal remote and program it to control you dvd player. plus as an added bonus you will be able to control all your components with one remote and loosing it will be less of a problem. good luck
