  1. If youre seafood eaters, why not just get a kilo of prawns, a couple of dozen oysters, some bread and cheese and a really nice bottle of wine  and go on a picnic? Do this earlier in the evening then go and watch the fireworks somewhere together and tost the new year with a good bottle of champagne

  2. Depends on a few factors.  I assume you do have a cap on budget, but could you do an overnight locally?  How about a dinner cruise to see fireworks?  Or if you are near a city and have a little cash, have a driver pick you up and drive around the city while you give her a tour of the city with champagne.  or plan a surprise dinner party at the house?

  3. Have a traveling dinner with a few other couples---at first couple's house, have appetizers & drinks. Soup & salad at the next house, entree & side at the next, and dessert at the last house.

After dinner, stay there & play board games or cards til the midnight toast.

Or just host the same thing--each couple could also bring an ethnic food, for round the world flavor.

  4. I would just take her to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner then for a walk through the city to see the fire works.

  5. check out your local paper on friday and there is usually an entertainment section that lists all the goings on for the weekend. there you will find places that will have bands and such. good luck in finding something fun to do!
