Question:

Have people in this country forgotten, for the most part, about the war in Afghanistan?

So many times I see people responding to questions (including my own) regarding matters and automatically assume someone is trying to connect it to Iraq - particularly if anyone makes reference to 9/11. We went to Afghanistan after 9/11 - Iraq was later on - so why do people automatically assume that the "war" connected to 9/11 is Iraq?

  1. I haven't.

Liberals get political milage among their friends when they do as you say.

  2. Iraq because of the WMD's claim.  On 9/12 were were pissed.  We could have attacked Haiti and it wouldn't have mattered.  But on 9/13 we had to get kids off to school, make lunches, pick up groceries, go to work, mow the lawn, water the dog, and take out the trash.  We have ADD, and no longer had the stomach for what we sent our brave men and women off to do.

  3. Media Coverage?

I am Canadian and our boys are still dying in Afghanistan, so we don't forget

  4. George W McCain managed to fool people into thinking Iraq was behind the 9/11 attack, they effectively morphed one war into another.

  5. there's no war in afghanistan...if u keep saying it u'll belive it too

  6. Why, because Bin Laden recieved support from Iraq, of course. He also recieved support from Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, North Korea, and every other country we want an excuse to invade.

Oh, and a sidenote: He also recieved massive support from the United States. Perhaps we should invade our own country.

  7. Because there is nothing in Afghanistan.........The Talibans.....Russia and You....destroyed completely what was left there in that country.....

I am against Terrorism......But I am for Humanity.....

Have you ever looked out what happened to the general people in Afghanistan?........

  8. For quite awhile it was somewhat forgotten but I think since success in Iraq has largely been acheived people are returning their attention to that effort.
