Have recently bought a touring Caravan ........?

Question

off a freind, however, it seems to be using the Gas Canister(12kg)(Calor Gas) every 2 weeks or so !!!! Even my freind (Honest Guy) says it should last a couple of Months or so - not Weeks !!! I have had the Gas Fire on occassionally, but even so, it's looking like their could be a leak - possibly. IF this is the case whats the simplest way to find out (without the scenario of taking it to be serviced)(Bit short on Expensives at the moment) Is there a laymans approach to resolving the cause of such unusal/excessive usage of the gas ? Thanx for any input.

soapy water and lather down the gas lines and around connections and see it the soap bubbles
