Well. Perhaps we need to (peacefully) coe together as people and figure how to affect the big, deep wallets and I agree about genocide in Africa. I also know that we have genocide going on here. We have not fed our hungry in our own backyard!

  1. Yes, its killing me.  In California gas is up to $4.00 per gallon.

  2. The biggest thing is prioritize your trips, ditch that gas guzzler SUV.  You will be amaze how much money you save in Gas, Insurance and Payments.  Is all together.  I have a full size sedan.  It gives around 30 MPG.  So there is no need for me to have a dinky car like a Honda.  I buy the good stuff, meat, fuits and such.  Ditch the junk food and cook more at home.  And, I still coming with cash left at the end to go to movies and dine out from time to time.  Currently, I am planning on a cruise and have the spare money for the wife, grandkid and me.  The wife drives an 07 VW Beetle is awesome on gas.  I do laugh at people putting gas on their big SUVs and no money left to even buy a Soda.

Another unwanted thing are Cigarrets.  I used to smoke but after figuring out that I was wasting and going up in smoke like $120 or more a month, I ditched it.  With that money I pay my cable with broadband and the water bill.

What people need most, is a class in economics and how to buy need it things Vs junk.

My priorities in life are, Food, Clothes, Shelter and Fun, somewhere on the bottom of the tottem pole is the car.

Vanity is the biggest money killer and financial eater there is.

  3. LOL at I love my Marine!  Yes, gas prices have affected me a lot.  Instead of going places on the weekend, I now stay at home.  I am sure that the businesses that rely on people traveling are suffering also.  I just can't seem to justify going somewhere for the cost.  We need an alternative to gas, now!

  4. Definitely. We travel quite a bit over the week between my kids sports and my job. Some weekends we may drive over 100klms. The rising fuel prices has meant that we have had to skimp on other things in our household, and we do not get "luxuries" like the good meat for dinner or the beautiful exotic fruit that we enjoy as a treat.

And no we have not considered changing the kids sports...they are all competitive in their chosen fields, and therefor we have no right taking that away from them simply because of fuel costs.

  5. IN RESPONSE TO THE FIRST ANSWERERS ANSWER: I wish I was the gas after what you said lol! Just kidding! But in a more serious tone, yea it has not only affected me but my whole family and the whole world! But honestly when you really think about it, there are worst things happening than the rise of gas by a dollar! I mean for God sakes people in Africa are dying in millions each week and we are doing nothing about that or more or less its not even on the freaking news!!!! SO IF ANYONE ELSE IS BITCHING ABOUT GAS, ***** ABOUT PEOPLE DYING IN HUNGER AT AFRICA FIRST!!!!!

  6. Absolutey!!! As for everything else tripling and quadrupling in price also! It sucks!! Yeah, I just went shopping today to get groceries and necesities, bought 15 dollars worth of gas! 200 dollars later, I have a 1/4 tank of gas and a whole lot of nothing for the money I spent today!! Oh, and did I mention IT SUCKS!!

  7. No, at $ 8.30 a gallon, not much

  8. Personally we (my husband & I ) would be ok with the gas prices, not that we like them but my son does not make enough money for gas, food, and living expenses (utilities, insurance and auto payments) so we give him money every week to be able to get to and from work. He & his wife had a baby 3 months ago so they need diapers, food, milk, etc. for her also or they would be ok. Who knew gas prices would go so high? So I guess it has affected our life since we are supporting 2 families but that's what parents are for, to help their children when they need help.

  9. gas can suck my left t*t

  10. I can afford to pay the high gas prices, but I worry about my neighbors, the poor that are having tough times paying for gas, like the people on welfare, they get help with food stamps, free health care, and heating cost assistance, but they don't get any money to pay for gas.

  11. Not really affecting me yet. I race ATV's, so the only thing I am doing different is not going to as many races this summer. Also, just trying to stay around home, saving what I can and then try to take some sort of a vacation.

  12. It's affecting everyone's life. Costs for all products and services are rising.

  13. Not much.

  14. I try to be ecologically responsible and bike and take the subway as much as I can...so it doesn't affect me as much as it affects other people who rely more heavily on their cars.

The environment is a bit happier there are less cars on on the road because of the high gas prices.

This affects low income families with cars the most though...so that sucks.... :(

  15. It affects all of us in so many ways, have you seen the prices at the food stores lately due to the gas prices?????
