  1. I don't think so - they will be undone by the quality teams competing this year.

For me it's always been a mystery why they win given their staid form of rugby, but then I'm Welsh and not likely to give them any credit!

  2. im a proud england fan and would love to think we have a chance at the world cup, but these guys are right the odds are on france tho it makes my heart bleed! i do wish all the teams good luck!! and yell at the top of my lungs COME ON ENGLAND!

  3. Every one has a chance but this year it is a very slim one for England.

We have wasted 3 1/2 years after the world cup with Andy Robinson and used enough players in the squad during that time to fill a couple of double decker buses.

We are now playing catch up and I am certain it will be too little too late. The Southern Hemisphere has been working hard since 2003 to get the cup back and I think that they are the overall favourites.

The Northern Hemisphere will have to rely on France or an outside chance with Ireland if the Webb Ellis is to stay on this side of the world.

As I die hard England fan I have found the last 4 years very difficult with such a catastrophic drop in play and ideas. I wish we could go all the way but as a realist recognise that we could lose to SA and Samoa and not even make the quarters. In my opinion the best we could hope for from our guys will be a semi final, but I think that is still too big an ask.

So long as they give their all that is all we can ask. Hopefully the RFU will pull their finger out and get some structure back and pride into our national team ASAP.

  4. Not a chance. When we won it, the team had prepared night and day for about 3 years. I don't think they've had anything like the same time for this tournament.

France may be worth a look or the Aussies, keen to erase the memory of the wilkinson boot.

May the best team win. Heres to a fine sport played by true gentlemen.

  5. No chance whatsoever.

  6. No sorry to say this but England won the last one by luck, now Johnny Wilknson is out again with a injury, this time I think it will be between South Africa and France.

  7. To be Honest NO but having no pressure on them and everyone writing them off they may suprise everyone inc me!!!

  8. ~ No!  Samoa will hammer in the final nail on the 22nd of this month during pool play! ~

  9. nope i don't think England can they will probably finish second in their pool, then have to probably face Australia and if they win that they will face new zealand so no chance their. the trophy is going back to the southern hemisphere. south Africa looking very strong. the way they played Scotland was really good. in 80 minutes all Scotland could score was 3 points from a penalty. south Africa's defence is really good and the attacking line is one of the best in the world. the second half they took of the pressure and defended the score they didn't need to go out attack and get hurt.

  10. No - once in a decade is more than enough!!

  11. it's highly unlikely as they haven't got the backs to win the high scoring games. I think they have a better chance against the southern hemisphere teams, than the other home nations as they have the pack to be able to get good possession and keep it tight but they will struggle against the northern hemisphere teams who are familiar with their style and all know how to beat them.

If they do manage to smother the boks in the first round and sneak a win, then they will lose against Wales in the quarters as they won't be able to cope with the pace of the Welsh backs and the lose game that Wales likes to play.

  12. No

  13. Not this cup mate, they have had their time, they dn't have the power, skill and players to even mount a threat,Go All Blacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  14. who are you kidding??

buddy watch some all blacks games and then reconsider

  15. Of course..everyones got a chance.

The french could go on strike at any moment -and england could retain it by default.

  16. Quarter Finalists only i fear

  17. Yes but It will be France, they used last 6 nations to try different combinations or the All Blacks unless certain teams are playing a long con.

  18. no chance not good enough i think s africa r france

  19. No, they had a great opportunity to put down some ground work after winning in 2003, instead they all got a bit ahead of themselves and then next thing you know they are struggling to win matches.  dont think France have what it takes, their record at home is mediocre and the pressure they face is huge their fans can be very unforgiving.

  20. No way José.
