Question:

Have the Victorian teams combined to form an acadamey to teach diving?

Watching all the Victorian teams of late one can't help but note how players are consistently taking dives & feigning injury just about every time they are tackled.

The umpires are more concerned as to how they look when they prance backwards (Jeez, they must practice this more than they do bouncing the ball) thay are reguarlarly conned by the diving player - give a free kick & more often than not, report the other player.

There is so much of this practice going on I think the players must be coached to do it. But I'm not surprised anymore as to what Victorian teams will get up to - as they are being left behind by non-Victorian teams these days.

  1. It's not just the "Vic" sides, no,no,no..

Hunter is West Aussie and he takes the Logie easy..

Theyre just trying to get the umpires attention..

You sound pretty sour on the game at the mo..

If u dont like the direction the games going, you are always free to turn the TV off till yr team starts winning again..

Umpires do actually train to 'prance' backwards so your spot on with that!

    Good luck!

  3. Yes.

Scott West of the Bulldogs is the head coach & Gary Ablett Jnr is his assistant.

  4. whats a acadamey

    did you miss class today

  5. Yair.

    Collingwood have our own, though.

  6. Yes. They do have an academy for that purpose.

But they have had that & have been doing that behaviour for years. I think the poor Vics are on a rapid downward spiral.

  7. Yes, they must have.

There has been so much diving going on lately something should be done about it.

I think the match review committee should view the games afterwards & fine players who have been deemed to having taken a dive. They are spoiling the game as a spectacle.
