  1. Yes, that is the most disconcerting feeling.  It was dark in the morning when I was driving to work...the dash went dark and no lights...something with the alternator. Grr. Good thing it was on a country road.

  2. Yes I have. It turned out that on older cars, the kind where you used to pull the switch out one click for parking lights, and two clicks for headlights, used to have a circuit breaker in the switch. Well mine failed on my 1966 Pontiac Bonneville. I drove home a little slower but it was no big deal as I recall. it was kind of cool. My tailights stayed on I think.

  3. nope, but I have had my steering wheel lock up

  4. yes... the switch got shorted and overheated and i had to yank the wires out from the back of it and wire them directly together... the wiring on it was funny cus the parking lights would come on every time i touched the brake

  5. yes this has happened to me. alternator went out.

  6. Surprisingly after all these years no, but I did have the hood flying up one, lol

  7. no but sometimes i forget to turn them on and i think "man it is awefully dark tonight!!!" =P lol
