This is nohing new.  My Neice is a police officer in Hampshire and she told me off the record....that they work on the basis of which will be the easier conviction regardless of natural justice considerations and the entire police service is told to act in this way because of their crime figures.

This means they keep up their figures and dson't start a war with the local thugs whom they are scared of.

The Police Service in the UK needs to be completely disbanded and the senior officers who spend their time sucking up to politicians should never be allowed to work in public service again.

We should have a new para-military force to take over with the right to dispense on-the-spot-punishment.

Problem not immediately solved...but I bet you would see a quick difference.

Yes they are complete t****** and enjoy punishing the victim rather than the criminal, the punishments are never strict enough for the criminal.

Like I've said in a previous answer; the police will probably do anything - even arresting a man who tried to help - to show that they haven't lost the ability to 'protect and serve' as it where. They need to show the public who is supposed to be incharge and so they do it by pulling their weight onto the people who shouldn't be blamed.

It's just typical of the way in which the UK has gone. Down hill fast. The real criminals get away with it while the average man pays the price. The government have got to radically shake up, shape up or ship out & get some order back.
