Have there been any mlb players that never played highschool baseball?

i cant name any

but im sure there were plenty that did not go to high school that played pro ball way back in the day, back when education wasnt seen as very important.

but as of lately, im sure everyone that is in the league currently were to highschool. unless maybe a guy or two who are not from the states that didnt go to high school

Probably Joe Jackson. It is well known that he was illiterate.

Also a tragic figure as far as baseball is concerned as he was one of the eight players that were blacklisted by baseball for participating in the Black Sox gambling scandal during the 1919 World Series.
