  1. No and there won't be either. If you were a passenger on a plane and it was hijacked how long do you think the terrorist would be alive. After 9-11 no one on an airliner would just let it happen.

  2. Not that I am aware of. Maybe those secuirty measures are actually paying off.

  3. There were a few attempts after 9/11.One was In London, the terrorists had planned on hi-jacking a few overseas flights and it was thwarted by the London police, the second was Richard(I forget his last name)with the shoe bomb that failed.

  4. yea, thats weird if you think of it..

  5. There weren't any on 9/11 either.

  6. No, 9/11 ruined hijacking as a viable strategy. What sort of passengers are going to let anyone hijack a plane when they now think they are going to slam it into some landmark, killing the passengers and everyone at the landmark as well?

Besides, there is also the issue of the doors to the cockpit being nearly impossible to just break into, plus the danger of sky marshals which are randomly dispersed on flights.

In short, hijacking has become ten times more difficult to pull off after 9/11. It might have been this way before 9/11 if airlines weren't such tightwads on spending for safety.

It also helps that the president can no longer afford to ignore reports such as 'Bin Laden determined to attack America", like he did originally before 9/11.
