Have there ever been 25 foot waves at Cocoa Beach, FL?

  1. my guess is yes but it was probably a long time ago

CW the waves in CB don't get that large due to the large shallow shelf that extends from Florida into the atlantic.  Waves of that size lose their energy a long way from shore and are quickly reduced to the meager dribbling mushburgers that Cocoa Beach is famous for.  The good news is that it provides an opportunity for everyone to get a longboard and stand up on a moving wave.  

  3. I am sure that it has happened but i do not recall any specific swells that were that large.

  5. No. Absolutely not. Never has, never will.

  6. ha. maybe a very long long time ago if that ever happened. i havent even minded to check it out cause of tp fay. all I'm guessing is that. the waves might get over head. & white waters pummel half your energy out before you even get 40feet out.
