  1. i dont remember his name but he plays or played for the rangers and he played in the nfl too and said that hockey has harder checks than football. i read this in the hockey news

  3. Justin Morneau chose MLB over hockey, but I think that was college, not the pros!

  4. well Tom Glavine had the option of whether to play MLB or NHL but chose MLB, but his kids prefer playing hockey

  6. Gerry James played for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the late 50's and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL.

    The "Big Train" Lionel Conacher (Canada's athlete of the first half century) played Professional Hockey (NHL) Football (CFL), Lacrosse (was really big in the thirties), and Baseball. As well as all this he was a popular politician and actually died on the field during a charity softball game in 1954.

    There are a lot of NHL players who went on to careers as Golf Pros after retirement

  7. I couldn't give you any names, but I know some of them play golf professionally after their hockey career is over. I know someone who became a pro golf head at a golf course after he stopped playing hockey.

  8. Luc Robitaille was drafted by an MLB team. I think it was the same year as Glavine was drafted. I remember seeing a segment on that and Glavine was in it as well.

    Drafted to both NHL and MLB, but he chose the MLB.

    The guys from Versus were talking to him about it during a Penguins Vs. Flyers game in the Playoffs.
