Malaria is not the one Canadians are worried about.  West Nile Virus is.

By the way are there a lot of cases of frostbite in Africa?

Not malaria...but West Nile Virus...

Malaria is a tropical problem.  Toronto is not exactly tropical.  Your only mosquito concern here is West Nile Virus... and even then, there has not been a whole lot of confirmed cases this year.

I would not worry about, as malaria is not a prevalent disease here in Canada....there has not been an outbreak here since the late 1800's. Plus, is you are healthy and vaccinated against most common illnesses and generally have a good immune system, you have nothing to worry about.

No, there hasn't.  Most Canadians tend to avoid the Great Canadian Rain Forest and prefer the comfort of their igloos, eh!
