I know they will never again use the name because of superstitious reasons but have they ever tried to build another based on it's beauty?

Obviously, It was a gorgeous luxury liner especially the interior except for third class which was "usual" looking.

  1. If you try Cunard (Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, Queen Mary 2), their ships usually are the most elegant. Of course, though, not many ships today can compare to the beauty and elegance of the Titanic and other luxury liners of the past.

  2. Well in a way, yes they have, with the Queen Victoria and QM2 & QE2. Of course they are not as lavish as the TITANIC, but they are the best liners to this date.

  3. The Titanic was special, but many of todays ships are reallty stunning. They will have fine art on them including piscaso, and newer artists such as barrens and Goddard. They have glass elevators and sweeping staircases, elegant nightclubs and diningrooms. They even have musicians playing beautiful music throughout the evening. So lots of what you saw in the movie Titanic, you will find on todays ships.

  4. The Titanic and the other liners of that era were elegant and luxurious for their time,  but only for their time. If it was possible for you to cruise on a similarly designed ship with the same level of elegance and luxury to-day, you certainly would not be as safe or as comfortable as you would be in the less elegantly designed mega cruise ships of to-day.

The only ship that i know of that is anything like those ships, although from a later era, that would give you an idea of the style and luxury of those ships is the Queen Mary at Long beach.
