Have this ever happened?

I live in VA it's rained 8 weekends in a row also we've gotten 8 inches of rain this month

It has happened before, I just don't know any specific time periods or dates.  Thanks to a cut-off low that sat just off the coast there last week you had lots of rain.  Now today you have a cold front which waves of low pressures developing on it bringing in excess rain and even some severe weather.
