We didnt get the game on Telly here, so i was getting regular score checks on my mobile.

To keep to within 12 points of the Hawks, who are undefeated, must surely make people sit up and take notice of the Tiger

Most people who keep bagging the tiges dont know that they have turned-over over 30 of their 40 players since Wallace took over as coach. ( the 40 who were tiges when he started)

So they really are a new team, in every sense of the word, and I feel it is coming together for them this season.

GO THE TIGERS

  1. Playing much better footy we've seen for a long time mate, they are showing us more and more signs each week that they will be competetive in  the 8. Their fitness and attack on the footy has improved out of sight, with big richo playing really good footy all around the ground as a team player rather than a demanding forward it is noticable the boys have definately turned a corner and have alot of good signs.

  2. They will be premiers in 2011 for sure lol

  3. well i hope they have it be good too see them back like in the 80's when they where a very good team lol

    GO FREO

  4. They are improving a lot!

I think there'll be an upset next week when the Tigers beat the Saints...

  5. We'll find out after round 8 (Cats)

  6. There finally doing something and Coughlan is still to return. but Wallace should still go and expecially Miller as he drafted Tambling over Buddy and Roughead

  7. Yea finaly there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel

Weve still got a ways to go but there is a tangable improvement

I just hope they never go back to their old ways

Something to look forward to over the next few years

  8. i watched the game on fox at thw village green in melb, mate we were pretty good, could of won the game and wouldn't give up, which is pleasing.

still have cogs and cotchin to come into this side too remember, cotchin would be close, 2-3 weeks?

  9. i was checking the scores too coz it wasnt on tv unfortunately

yeh i believe they have turned a corner, they have successfully rebuilt, they have the talent with foley, king, richo, johno, deledio, browny etc. and now they have put it all together... the only question is consistency.

i believe they can do it... im right behind them

  10. the tigers must be taking something. they have played such good footy the past couple weeks. i think they could be in the top 8 this year.

  11. Sorry to burst your bubble but I believe the 12 points is very flattering on Richmond

If we look at the score

    Hawks 14.22  v Rich  15.4

with Franklin kicking 1 goal 7

36 shots on goal compared to 19 shots

The Tiger cannot look at the 12 point and say we did a great job but rather say we were lucky to escape with minimal damage on our percentages

I think percentages could be the difference between 8th and 9th going into the finals

  12. Yes we played with so much fight today.  I was so proud of the boys.  Yes we have turned the corner, our younger players have much more confidence now.  I thought we were unfairly done by on a few umpiring decisions, but that's the way it goes.. Well done Tiges you made me proud today.  Watch out next week Sainters!

  13. Yes, they are playing good footy, but still have a lot to work on. Since that Freo game they've really stood up. Hope they beat the Saints!
