  1. Madrid is really good for culture and sightseeing. But if you want to combine it with fun, go to Barcelona, it's a very plural city, it's a city that never sleep... And you will find more english speakers in Barcelona...

  2. Mmmm this is a hard one but i will definitely recommend Barcelona instead of Madrid... main reason: there's a lot of wonderful things to see like "Sagrada Familia", "Parc Guell", "El Pueblo Espanyol"... there's the port with a wonderful view of the mediterranean sea.... nice restaurants with live flamenco shows and cheap internet cafes. Madrid is also very nice but i think Barcelona is a lot richer in stunning sightseeings.... also traffic in Madrid is horrible and its almost impossible to find a parking space. Hope this was helpful... if u would like to ask anything else just contact me!

  3. I think you have seen the votes here and the good answers.

Check out the official tourism site for Spain - OK Spain via this link at Tourism Rankings - it's well researched and full of info: http://www.tourismrankings.com/Spain/

My vote is also for Barcelona [ although i also like Madrid ].

If you need a place to stay I'd recommend the Ramblas area, which is popular with tourists. Here's some links to help you as well:

    Spain :http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Spain...

    Barcelona :http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Spain...

  4. Madrid is the best place in Spain, you can have loads of fun in Madrid at its nightlife, the amusement parks, the people, everything is fine in Madrid...

Remember this phrase if you go to Madrid...(you should):

    From Madrid to the sky...

    De Madrid al cielo...

Everybody who visits Madrid falls in love with the city... and with its sunsets, they´re magical!

  5. Barcelona - Barcelona it now has every leisure and sports facility possible since 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. The streets of Barcelona are alive by day or night, providing the visitor with a safe place for strolling around, whether for shopping, eating or simply passing the time of day. There is also 1 mile long city beach with clean soft sand, ideal for sun bathing. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelo... for more details

  6. barcelona!

think about it, you have a lot to see in barcelona las ramblas la sagrada familia all the paks, monjoic, el camp nou ( futbol satadium) plaza despanya, plaza catalunya and the strts arround with a lots of shops and restaurants! good transportation! It have the maditerranean sea so also you can enjoy the restaurants in the cost eat a lots of good sea food! I think also if you like to lern abou a culture in spain you can go to barcelona because there you will see to diferents lenguages the spanish and the catalan! there is a lot of parties and also it depens on what time of the year you go because there are same specials celebrations there like in the US, halloween, thanks giving, st patrics day, 5 de mayo, 4 july, thiks like that but in barcelona! it is a lots of fun and good things!

I went to madrid for one day and I could see almost everithing wich I think madrid is a beatiful town too!

    so is up to you!

you will have a good time anyway!

  7. Madrid, I haven't been to Barcelona so I couldn't tell you much about it, but Madrid is beautiful. There is a lot to do and see and on certain days, usu Sundays, alot of the museums are free. They also have good shopping, restaurants and clubs most located close to each other.

  8. I would go to Barcelona. Madrid has some nice places to visit but it's a very crowded city and you waste a lot of time moving from one place to another. Barcelona is very beautiful and there is a lot of diversity. Madrid is more standard in that point. Most of spanish people would choose Barcelona... Have a good time wherever you go!

  9. Barcelona Of course... You can also enjoy the sea and the harbor....  I´ve been in both and Barcelona is more beautiful than Madrid.

  10. If you are young and like clubbing, I definetly recommend Madrid... Nigtlife center of Europe.. Great places to visit as well....
