Question:

Have to write a short letter accepting a voluntary transfer?

My principal has asked me to write a short letter accepting a voluntary transfer from a kindergarten to a 4th grade position.

I have no idea what such a letter should look like. It is NOT a "voluntary transfer form" that needs to be filled out. It's an actual letter from me... I am clueless how to word such a thing.

Any ideas?

  1. I would assume it's just a couple of paragraphs... Maybe saying something like... ... ... Thank you for accepting my vol. transfer.  It is with pleasure that i accept the position of 4th grade teacher at ---- E. School.  {is it at the same school?} .... You can be confident I'll perform with the same high standards , blah blah. ?

    I dunno.  I've never heard of this.  But don't stress; it's prob just something they need to keep on file. He/she prob won't even read it.

  2. I don't know exactly what such a letter looks like, either, but how about something like:

    Sir or Madam <and their position>,

    I would like to thank you and <the name of your principal> for granting me the opportunity to voluntarily transfer from my current position to that of a 4th grade teacher.

    I feel it is a great honor that you have considered me for this position and I would like to take this opportunity to graciously accept this new challenge with the highest regard, as I have worked very hard to achieve my level of teaching and I know that I will work even harder not to disappoint you in this opportunity to advance in my career.

    Sincerely,

    <Your Name>

  3. First of all, maybe you could say:Thank you for giving me the position, I will try to do my best, and structured these young minds into a life they will soon be encountering.Thank your principal for the position personally(verbal), you could say this is an opportunity for me and my 4th grade class to enjoy our lives God has given to us, and enjoy learning about new things we will see in the coming year. Then, you could sign your name, with sincerely thanks or something like that?Just believe in yourself and your ideals.
