It does depend how old your computer is and what maintenance you have done to it.

You need to defrag it fairly often

Remove any un-used programmes

Chedck what programmes start up when the computer starts.

Normal things is that to keep it in top form you should back up your data and re-install windows and all your software every year or 18 months,

These Days It Depends On How Old Your Computer Is.

Make Sure You Dont Have Alot Of Files Saved As This Causes The Comp To Run Slow. And Make Sure You Have An Anti-Virus Software So It Can Check For Any Possible Viruses That Your Comp Might Have.
