1. Go to , "The Citrus Growers Association" They will tell you .

  2. You can leave them on, it wont hurt anything. They will slowly go bad- if you leave them on the tree you can probably spread them out over the summer and maybe even into the fall. (unless you live in a pretty tough climate, Im in southern california so things grow well all year long here) The fruit likely wont rot, they will just start to taste funny (if you leave them on into 2009). You'll want to pick them off probably before october so the new fruit will have the tree's full energy to ripen.

  3. pick the ripe dont pick the unripe leve them for next season or winter

  4. I would leave the fruit to ripen on the trees. Feed them, citrus feed is available at Home Depot. Make sure they have plenty of water. If the branches are bending with the weight of the fruit you may have to support them with wooden props. Usually a tree with drop any excess of fruit that it cannot support naturally. Good luck and enjoy your bumper crop.

  5. Make sure you pick up the fruit on the ground.

Support the branches if need be. Water every day.

  6. You need to pick them as they ripen. If you can't use all the fruit, consider sharing with family, friends & neighbors. There is no sense in wasting good food. What drops is ripe and will rot fairly quickly. It needs to be taken care of too.
