I don't know if someone commenting to me means to be offensive or not - they might say that they don't mean it but I'm no lie detector machine. I have been offended on behalf of people over what people say but not really over things said about me. Everyone has their own opinion.

I have.  One time, on the CBS message boards for the Young and the Restless, I was ridiculed by another poster who was a total Sharon/Shick fan, and it was meant to be offensive.  I told them that I had an artistic imagination, because she thought it was odd that I was posting on a soap opera message board with a bunch of women.  This Beyotch then reply that I was not a real man, not that I ever could be in that sense because of my cerebral palsy; I could never get myself a legitimate job that would define society's expectations of me being a man to begin with, as a major example.
