They are asking for money and insurance and want to transfer the money to western union. My question is they have my scanned passport with signature. resume and photos, scanned birthcert. Do you think they can use my identification in a wrong way and might lead me to get banned in different countries? If that so is it possible from that documents of mine that they I could have a criminal record because of them?

  1. DON"T answer or respond to them ANYMORE.  Bounce their E mails back to them.  Don't have anything to do with them or any others again.  It will die down.

  2. I have no idea what it is about, fill me in, then maybe I can comment.

    Some agencies need this information.

  3. Take everything you have one these people and as soon as the sun comes up go right to the police and make an identify theft report. Sure they can use your information to get you into a lot of deep c**p, not just with your credit, but with the police as well. If the police blow you off go to the FBI and Homeland Security. I see people everyday who have been victims of people like this. Get them locked up before the make a victim out of an elderly person!

  4. You wont have a criminal record because of them.  There are steps you can do to stop this immediately.  Are you a U.S. citizen?  My guess is yes, contact the State department immediately or other federal officials to let them know what has happened.  I know, you are thinking you might get into trouble.  Actually this type of scam happens all the time and you are a victim, not a perpetrator.  You also need to contact the three major credit reporting agencies and put a fraud alert on your credit.  This will stop anyone from being able to use your information to get a line of credit without going through security hoops that you and the agency will set up.

Doing these things will put a halt on your passport and your credit.  Basically, they wont be able to do anything with your information.  Although, this is going to be a huge hassle for you because you may not be allowed to travel outside the country for a while, but at least you wont have someone committing a felony or taking out a $300000 loan in your name.

  5. yo better take what steps you can to protect your credit ratings and other identify related stuff - you have handed over more then they could have hoped for to use your identity for whatever purposes they desire.

ignore this advice at your own peril - don't cry later you didn't know!
