  3. Many beautiful cities in the Puebla State like Cholula.  The biggest pyramid in the world is right there and there is a church built on top of the pyramid.

    There is nothing like Puebla de los Angeles city in the State of Puebla.  They have lots of museums, spectacular big old colonial homes covered with beautiful tiles, restored and turned into bed and breakfast or galleries.  The impresive Cathedral is a must to see.   So many churches and convents, one of these convents, another must to see is the Camino Real Hotel, as well as the Convent of Santa Clara where the famous Mexican "Mole sauce" was invented by the nuns.

    The most beautiful artisan pieces in Mexico made with Talavera are from Puebla State.

    One of the most spectacular libraries in the world called Biblioteca Palafoxiana is in Puebla City.

    Puebla city is one of the many interesting cities to visit in the country of Mexico.

  4. Puebla is a State with a variety of scenery, culture and food.

    It's capital is also called Puebla and it was founded by the Spaniards to have a town to rest on the way from Veracruz, still nowadays the most important port of the country and Mexico city the capital.

    It's located at a high altittude of over 2,000 meters above sea level in a valley surrounded by volcanoes. One of them is still active.

    The architecture is colonial, and there are lots of catholic churches, museums, malls, universities, and of course restaurants. The food of this city is one fo the most representatives and richest of Mexico. There are about 3 million inhabitants currently. The Volks Wagen plant is stablished there.

    Other towns to visit: Cholula, it's become a metropolitan area of Puebla, was inhabited by natives before the Spaniards came, and it has the largest pyramid at it's base, sadly it's been covered by years and there's no way to uncover it all.

    Cuetzalan, 3 hrs drive from Puebla is a cold, humid and lovely town with a very special native dance that includes men trhrowing themselves from the top of a post down.

    Chignahuapan with termal water, Zacatlan with good food are north of the State... try searching them on the net.

  5. I have been in Cholula, the pyramid there is great. Downtown Puebla is also very nice.
