  1. I felt my hs reunion was pretty lame.  I found that many of the people I was hoping to be there weren't there.  I also found that lots of the people there were so desperate to make a connection that they would make stuff up.  I enjoyed seeing the few people that showed up who were genuine and I was able to catch up with, but it wasn't a good enough experience to make me want to go back to my 20th :-)

  2. I never went to my 10 yr reunion because I moved out of state (I went to high school in California and I now live in Colorado), but I DID go to my 20 yr.

It was a real 'interesting' time to say the very least (but I don't think I would say it was the best or most exciting time of my life)  and to be perfectly honest, I don't see myself going back to another one until maybe the 40th or 50th.

Ours was held at the Hyatt in San Jose, CA <this was in 2002> and the tickets were something like $65 per person.  The dress attire was business casual <the attire was listed on the invitation but there were a few of the ladies who were dressed to kill>.  I am divorced, but I went with a friend of a friend.

There were people from the class that floated around and struck up conversation, but no one was really overly braggy or stuck up.

You know what actually made my entire night?  It was seeing all the thin little petite snobbish girls who were all the size 0, 3, 4. etc, and laughing to myself because most were now 175+ and no longer had their million dollar made up faces and beautifully styled hair and the guys that had all the good looks, 6-pack and studmuffin looks now had badly receding hairlines or otherwise had bad pattern baldness and attempted to cover it up with gel and mousse and large beer bellies.

  3. its lame unfortunately...people are just like they were in hs..only the successful peeps show up too...bring an escort.

  4. I have never gone to any reunion. Bring anyone that you want to the reunion./

  5. I didn't go because I was able to see what my former classmates are up to on Facebook. I also live in a different part of the world now, so flying there would have been expensive. My friends who did go said that everyone pretty much broke into their old cliques. I'm not surprised.
