Yes once, heard one case, advised by Judge to find 'Not Guilty'. Case over in 20 minutes.  I was there a week!

Yes, I spent three days going to court and never got picked!! The cases that were on would have been offy interesting.  I wiz a wee bit miffed cos the folk who were up fur the high jump were sitting next tae us as we were getting picked!!!!

Yes, and it was a fascinating insight into the way the law, and the jury decision making process works.

I sat on two cases, one a drugs offence with no obvious direct victim; and one a sexual assault against a minor.

It was only long after that I appreciated how differently we all viewed the burden of proof in the two cases.

Yes and it was one of the most tedious two weeks of my life.

Yes, a few times. Only got chosen for the jury itself once, the other times I waited in a room with 60 others all day.  Not fun, for sure.  I guess this is called "civic duty", but I don't believe in the jury process after what I have experienced. It's basically drafting people who are truly unqualified to give the judgements that they often hand out.

When I was a student, I got out of it, as my legal residence was not where I went to school.

Since, I've gotten a few notices, but when I call, have always been in the group they don't need.
