  1. I donate blood because that's an easy and inexpensive way for me to make a difference in this world. For each blood pint that I donate, I'm saving 3 peoples lives - that's huge.

  2. I donate as often as I can. I feel it's good karma and  I have more blood to share then time or money.

One donation can save three lives.

  3. I try to donate twice but I couldn`t. I forgot the reasons why I couldn`t though. I think 1 of the reasons was I would be to weak afther donating so they said NO. maybe i was slight anemic.

  4. I absolutely have. I donate with the understanding that it may help someone who needs it. Let's get real; our blood regenerates on its own, we can spare to donate some from time to time.

In my opinion, people only refuse to donate because they are afraid of needles, or don't like the idea of their "life essence" being drained from their bodies. I've also heard people claim that when you donate blood, you significantly decrease your life span. Pffft. That's just a myth with no scientific evidence to support it.

  5. yes. i might need some blood someday and that would only come from someone who donated their blood.

i should do it more often. our body replaces blood cells all the time. also organ donation.

  6. Yes.

My blood could help save someone's life, and my body burns calories replacing it.

The Good Conscience diet, heh heh.

  7. I have donated many times.  I do not enjoy it, I am not especially fond of needles, about half the time I get woozie and feel terrible, I generally bruise pretty badly.  But all that goes away.  It's fleeting discomfort, and it's amazing to me that Bonfils has to beg people to donate.  I understand some people just aren't allowed to, or are just horrified of needles, etc, but more people should feel it's necessary to take a hour out of their day every few months and help others.

  8. I've donated before.  My mom died of leukemia when I was 21, and I wanted to be able to help somebody else.  My mom constantly had blood transfusions.  I would like to become a bone marrow donor one day!
