Have any of you ever tried to ask for help, and tell a teacher about abuse you were suffering at home or anything like that, and they flat out dismissed it, didnt believe you, or were too umcomfortable to care?

I need to know if this happened to any of you, and what did the teacher say specifically? Thanks to anyone who answers!

  1. No, it's never happened to me. But in my state, if a teacher has ANY reason to believe that abuse is going on, they are REQUIRED to report it to Child Protective Services. There's probably a similar law in your state.

  2. yes

i told her that my step brother beat me up

and she said "well u kno how brothers and sister can be there allways fighting and arguing"

and i explained that he beat me really bad and i even showed her the bruises and marks on my neck and everything

and she said "wow looks like u where really playing rough you should be more carefull "

and i tried to tell her how he tied me up in a closet and left me for like 3 hours

    and she didnt belive me

and i said that i lied a couple months earlier when she saw bruises on my back when i was changing in gym class i told her that i fell off my bike

and when i had a black eye once i said that i ran into a door

and she didnt believe me when i told her i lied about all those things

she accused me of just saying those things to get my brother in trouble

she said that i was just acting out cuz i was mad cuz my mom got married and that i needed to just accept it and stop crying for attention
