Georgia is the aggressor and Russia must bring them to order.  The timing is perfect while the World is focused on a bogus Olympics.  I'm on Russia's side in this.  Russia will crush this rebellion.

At night on August, 7th Georgia the rockets weapon has destroyed city Chenvali. 1600 peace people are killed. Russia has interceded. It is bad? I from Russia apologize for bad English.

US should not participate in this conflict and specify to us, what to do.

I'm from republic of Georgia, I would like to tell you people that situation is really bad over here, but we are calm.

I'm sure that nobody believes Russian lies any more, the world knows what is going on here, they know we didn't want this war to come, we have children, families here - this is not our choice!

Russians are bombing our cities far away from conflict zone, they can't explain why they are doing this, on TV they are saying that are doing this because of military strategic objects (military airports, military bases) but actually they are bombing civilians, homes, children, women are dying here, today a pregnant women died in city of Gori! my  friend saved 4 year old girl from the basement of crushed building - this is the real face of so called Peace-keepers, this is the real face of Russia!

I'm not thinking of leaving country, this is my HOME, my home country, the only thing I'm going to do is send my children to my parents in US (they are citizens), my mom says she's going to come to Azerbaijan (because flying directly to Georgian is becoming dangerous) and take children to U.S.

I'm staying here because my husband, my friends are going to stay here to defend our country.

The only way you people can help us right now, is to tell the world about what is going on in Georgia, everybody must know what Russia is doing here!

As long as God is on our side nobody can defeat us, we are defending our homes from people who killed children in Beslan, who killed their own citizens (hostages) in "Nord-Ost" incident.

Truth is on our side and we are more stronger and braver than ever!

Today as always I'm proud to be Georgian!

Georgia is a friend and strong ally of the US!

The cowardly socialist European leaders who wouldn't admit Georgia into NATO a few months back - despite the Georgian president's pleas then that this would happen - should be beyond ashamed of themselves!

McCain's strong stance and firm threats of retaliation would have made Russia not want to tangle with Georgia and Georgia likely would be a NATO member too by now. Russia just wants to control the oil that runs thru Georgia - so they can put Europe into a costly energy stranglehold.

We (the US) shouldn't get involved in any way.  Talk of NATO membership for Georgia is probably what made the big dummy in charge of Gerogia think he could pull this off.  We shouldn't be messing around in former SSRs, and certainly not ones that are adjacent to Russia.  As I recall the US took exception to Russia messing around in our backyard (Cuban Missile Crisis) so let's stay out of theirs.  I don't care if Russia ends up annexing Georgia.

I always consider whoever started the agression as the invader, in this case it was the Georgians who Invaded south Ossetia. They gambled that the Russians would not come to help because Georgia was believed to be an ally of the US.

But US wants the same, don't they??? Georgia and Ossetia are russian neighbours. And a conflicts like that should be solved only by Russia, Georgia and Ossetia. Mr. Saakashvili starts this local war, and many people dies because of his pro-american politics. I assure you, Russia dont't want this war. It was involved into by couple provocations from georgian side! The REAL war is going between US and Russia for sphere of influence in this region. But Caucasus is NOT USA REGION. What would you think if Russia, for example, will take part in war in Mexico??? It's insane, isn't!?! We are as far from Mexico, as US from Georgia..

And more: great most of georgian civils don't want to go in NATO, nor be under US patronage... But who will ask him at all...?
