Have u heard of bag balm?

its ointment for cows utter but the guy at the pet store said it would help my dogs pads get softer. have u ever heard of this stuff? its in a green square can.

Oh yes, and it is good for your chapped hands, feet and lips.  Hoof alive a horse hoof conditioner is also very good.

Yes, very good stuff.  A lot of animal people, such as farmers, swear by it  it's mainly used to de chap areas of animals such as cows udders.  

Also it is used to treat surface abrasions.  You can find it in grocery stores, usually in the organics sections.  

active ingredients:  petrolatum and lanolin , 8-hydroxyquinoline sulfate 0.3% as an antiseptic and no longer contains mercury.

Yes, and it does work on your dog's footpads. I got some when a rescue dog I adopted had cracks and splits in his pads.

yeah i have heard of it...it's good stuff.  you might want to put some kind of socks on your dogs feet to keep from getting the stuff all over the place.  just take some childrens socks and use that vet wrap stuff to hold them up...be careful not to wrap it too tightly though.

bag balm is really good for cracked dry skin...my mom used to use it on her hands when they got really bad...she would put the bag balm on her hands at night and wear cotton gloves to sleep in.

OMG yes! My mom would swear by that stuff and would put it on us any time we got hurt! It smelled terrible, but its really excellent stuff! It comes in a green tin. You could find it in Wal Mart or even a pharmacy. I would try the aisle where they sell antibiotic ointments.

yeah the also use it for babies. i used it for my dog too. it helps but dont let him l**k it

It's great stuff and I wish I invented it! I used it when I first started breast feeding and I was cracked and sore.

Yes it is GREAT stuff.  It will work on your pups pads. I have used it for pads an big dogs elbows. Also when my toe nail was riped off that's what i put on. good luck
