  1. My ex  is.  Nuclear Engineer. Phi Beta Kappa  Berkeley.

He's brilliant in this but incredible lacking in a great deal of basic logic.  He also has little emotional understanding.

He can memorize and relate this knowledge to what he deems worth knowing.  (Which is almost exclusively science and basketball.)

  2. yes, i knew a few. they were MENSA members (the super genius club). we were friends. we met through mutual friends.

  3. My brother, he was good at everything and people who meet him come away feeling good. He even looks good and is a good person. Some people just have it.

  4. Yes, my Dad, and a number of other people in my family.  My Dad had an IQ of 185.  When his parents went to enroll him at high school, they said, "We have nothing for him...send him to college."  So at 15 years old, he was off to University.

He was a lawyer, CPA & had a PhD (all by the time he was 19).  He loved to learn.  He took the most advanced mathmatical classes at Universities just for FUN.  Some people like to do cross word puzzles, my Dad loved to do math.

He collected degrees the way some people collect stamps.

He was also amazingly gifted physically.  He made the Olympic swim team, and the Olympic sharp shooter team.  He was an expert pool shooter, mountain climber, bicycle rider (long distance), photographer, gunsmith,  and a raft of other things he was extremely good at.

Despite all of his gifts, as with may people who are at the "super genius" level, he simply didn't fit in, and rarely followed through.  He never participated in the Olypmics.  He worked a single week (as a teenager) in his entire life.  He saved the paycheck and never cashed it.  Despite all of his degrees he never worked (except that single week).

Being a "super genius" is rarely all it's cracked up to be.  It's very difficult for them to fit in with normal society.

Obviously I didn't have any classes with my Dad.  However the education he bestowed upon me at home was simply astounding.  He was wonderful with me, and a great Dad.

  5. Everywhere I go I am with a Genius... and every time I look in the mirror... there he is.

  6. I have a marginal genius IQ.

    143.

    Do I qualify?

  7. sure...i have met a good handful of people whose iq's measure up to "genius" level. these people are really like me and you they simply have extremely fast brains. its kind of like cars...the better they are the faster the engine runs smoothly... i do know one or two eccentric type geniuses, and the one that comes to mind went to top schools and has been writing science fiction/fantasy novels since elementary school, was a finalist in the national geographic bee, and makes up crossword puzzles for fun...there are a lo of interesting people out there, and the main thing to realize is that altough one persons iq may be higher than the next persons...the main thing is experience and street smarts, so dont feel inferier, just fly high...good luck

  8. My uncle is a genius, an engineer, and an inventor.  He is truly the smartest person I have ever met.  While is really brilliant, he is socially geeky and emotionally backwards.

  9. My father is a musical genius. He was accepted to the post-graduate program at Duke University when he was 9 years old.
