Ho! yes, I am Brazilian and in Brazil all the taxes are collected in January I have to keep money in the months of November December and January for pay them, like this being buys the presents in July, August and September for not using the credit card, soon I buy little by little and I keep.

Yes, small things for nieces and nephews. It is easier than trying to figure out what to give them in the mad run up.

Buying only those things at discount, I might add.

Yep. I actually bought 16 gifts today! I went out shopping for christmas gifts for people and pretty much couldn't stop, haha! I bought 15 gifts 2 weeks ago so i'm pretty much finished now. I even made a table chart on my computer to show all the gift receivers and all the gifts I have already bought (in black font), and all the gifts I will buy once the offers are on, like selection boxes and bottles of wine (in green font) and all the gifts that are shared, like for a couple (in red font).

I haven't started buying for my fiance yet. We're getting married on Dec 20th so I want to get him an extra special gift. Thanks for asking this question - I love christmas Q's, they make my day!

My yougest (2yrs in july 09) 6 presants

My partner 3 presants

My mum 1 presant

My sister(16) 1 presant

Yes, I have just started and have bought one present.  Also, I have been sorting out a shelf in my wardrobe, so I have somewhere to keep all my xmas purchases as they built up to the big day.

It is better to start buying sooner and to spread the cost, also you miss the christmas crush and can buy better quality presents, rather than the rubbish that they fill the shelves with near christmas.

Remember, its not what you spend that counts - its the thought behind the gift.

yeah Ive got 2 pressies already.  also this year I am in a xmas club at work so have been saving monthly for pressies and for the big meal and will be getting the money in october.  good scheme really. all the interest goes to charity too.
