Have u used Sylvan Learning Ctr? How much was it?

I was concidering taking my child to Sylvan, but dont know if I can afford it. How much was it in your experience?

yes we used one in NorthCentral Ohio and HATED IT...its a 3 to 1 ratio not much help at all and the cost here was $25.00 per  hour. Hope this helps

before our daughter was identified as severly dyslexic we brought her to sylvan. She was in the 1st grade. It was the biggest waste of time and money imaginable. She did not progress one bit because traditional tutoring methods do not work for dyslexic children. Has your child been tested for a learning difference? I actually know very few people who had the successes that sylvan claims to have. Most children who struggle in school (20%) have some sort of learning difference like dyslexia.
