  1. Being in good shape is a good start but you sound like you want to improve yourself skill-wise

Finding a wall to set against is what helped me to improve my setting ability greatly, as for passing, finding a wall helps a little, but I find that getting a partner to pepper with helps the greatest.  Simply practice more, play pick up games with friends and open gyms.  Going to camps helps much as well, but if you know some people that are good ask for some pointers.  But all in all, just practice.  Passing and setting to yourself is useful too, builds control.

Passing is the fundamental of the game so I'd go work on that first, then serving, then setting, then hitting.

If you want more advice just let me know,

  2. I kno how it feels to be a beginner. i've been playing for 3 years. when your alone you should try bumping a volleyball against a wall over and over again. Or you could try setting it

  3. If you have a staircase, run up and down it at least 15 times, doing 5 sets. You could also get on your toes and left yourself up, do at least 50. Do lots of running. Then we are doing volleyball drills...

  4. I play volleyball too. I think it just depends what you need to improve.

    1.setting first.

---Take a volleyball and lay down on your bed/floor/ somewhere flat. then set the ball to yourself. The object is that you don't have to get up from where you are (accuracy) and to see how high you get (height is good). This really works.

    2.Passing next.

---You can pass to the wall. I know this is difficult to do inside your home....but it is possible if you have a gargrage or a basement. When you pass to the wall the ball will always come back, and harder or in weird directions. See how long you can go without losing control...(cotrol is what you want to master.)

    3. Serving last.

---OK. Serving. Well you should get a net. Find a hill or something and serve to the hill. The fututher up the hill the better. This one will be tricking on count of where you live. but maybe you can still try something to improve.

  5. Work on setting and bumping. with setting just pop the ball in the air and set the ball!

  6. hustle!!! and hustle sideways along with bumping to yourself setting off the wall, learn to dive maybe if possible and serving but do that at the park

  7. run staircases.

  8. set ball against a wall

  9. its not really a drill but it helped me w/ setting... its kinda slow steps but once you do it a few times u can do it fast. tip ur head back, put 1 hand on each side of ur face, palms facing towards each othr. make it 2 wer its lik ur thumbs r poking ur eyes. then go from that position 2 wer its lik ur drinking a 2liter of pop. (just bend ur wrists a lil) then extend like superman. just make sure that wen u set the ball ur fingers r relaxed, not stiff.also, keep ur knees and ur elbos bent or else u will have nowhere 2 extend 2. once u have the form rite then do it w/ the ball..i did that in practic and now im a great setter!

  10. dribble and set and serve

  11. If you have a staircase, run up and down it at least 15 times, doing 5 sets. You could also get on your toes and left yourself up, do at least 50. Or try hopping stairs, hop your stairs one by one, then two by two, then three by three, etc. Good Luck!!
