If so please give some examples or web-sites explaining ones we had?

Plus I know years ago we had one but couldn't trace it 10 POINTS to a person who gets me a web-site explaining that phenomenon.

(first person with the web-site gets it)

EVEN IF U DON'T U STILL HAVE A CHANCE!

  1. Scientists have not received any signal conclusively known to be artificial in origin aside from signals sent by our own transmitters (including transmitters on board spacecraft). The best candidate ever found for a true alien signal was the famous Wow Signal, which was detected on August 15, 1977. Although the Wow Signal was a fairly good match for the kind of signal the scientists were looking for, it contained no clear information and never repeated, leading experts to agree that it was probably not an actual alien transmission. Another good candidate signal was radio source SHGb02+14a, detected by SETI@home in 2004. It was in the same frequency range as the Wow Signal and was detected three separate times, but the frequency had a high drift which indicated it was probably not artificial, and it did not carry any clear information.

  2. If we had one, would we recognise it?

  3. As far we know there have been a handful of unexplainable 'messages' that don't sound like any natural space noise. Nothing conclusive and nothing we can interpret.

The link below is the offical site of the Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence. You can let them use your PC as part of the search for 'alien' frequencies.

  4. have you never watched et?

  5. Here's one message we got from out of space!

It's not very polite, mind you.

  6. Houston we have a problem?

  7. The signal we had was called the Wow! signal a few years ago and heres the website which fully explains what it was http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wow!_signal

  8. Not conclusively. The signal that your on about is called the WOW signal.

Go to Wiki and type in "Wow Signal"

  9. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wow!_signal

Not any other than that one.

  10. No one that has been verified. The SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) team has looked for signals all over the universe but up to now no one has been confirmed.
