If by socialist you really mean European liberalism, then no, we haven't reached that point yet, but I hope eventually we will get there.

If you mean socialism as it suppose to mean, of government owning a majority of industry, nobody seems seriously interested in doing so and we would need a radical overhaul of government before anyone would even suggest it, since there is no money for politicians in nationalization. Sorry for the run-on sentence.
