I had the first experience at the builders yard that I was re-wiring which had been partially destroyed in a fire.

I did not realise I had, had It, till The next day when I was asked If I had seen him.

To say that I had seen him Is to say that what I saw was a gentleman in brown tweed about to walk into the ladder I was on,

I turned to tell him to watch out and he was not there!

I thought it was a trick of the light .

The next day I take my radio in to keep me company.

The brother in law of the guy who own the place where I was liked the sound of the radio (Grundig Concert Boy).I said I had brought it in to keep me company.

Only to be told the tale of the Ghost.

The builders yard used to be an undertakers.

The manifestation was of the undertaker.

He was seen to walk along the wall (where I had been working)

But could only be seen out of the top or corner of your eyes.

He was most often seen, by the man operating the saw which ran parallel to the wall my ladder lent against

  1. I cooked at a private club in portland or. and would often hear someone upstairs, or hear a pot hit the floor in the back and find a soup pot sitting in the middle of the floor. I know for a fact that I was the only one in the building. I thought it was interesting, but there were some employees that would not work alone in the early morning, or go upstairs to the break room alone at night.

  2. as a teenager I was in an empty house due for demolition with my b/f having a kiss and cuddle, we heard someone walk in and go up the stairs b/f when up but no one was there.

I have had many experiences since then

  3. My Mum,Dad and me all had experiences with the paranormal, whilst living at a certain address. My brother on the other hand was blissfully unaware of any of the situation. After one particular incident, my father told me never to say anything as people would think I was a nut. At the time I was seeing a girl who would not come round to my house as she said there was something there. Nobody had ever told her a thing. I wont tell the whole sorry tale and people can think what they like but I know the truth.

  4. ok...i have many stories relating to my house. one day it was about midnight and my parents were gone. when they got home i was going to meet them in the driveway. when i got to the front door..i looked up the stairs and saw the figure of a girl move and stand at the top of the stairs. my hand was on the light so i turned the stair lights on and nothing was there. recently, my brother took a picture of himself on his cell phone. in the background is a girl with black hair. its sooo scary, because nobody was there except me and him and its in the middle of nowhere on the pic so it cant be mistaken

  5. I guess I'm pretty lucky, because I was exposed to the supernatural at a very early age, and although my mother didn't 'promote' it, actually she told me if anybody else found out they would burn me at the stake or luck me in a padded cell away from all my family and friends (I was six at the time), she did encourage me to understand why I was able to see, as long as she and no one else knew about it.

I have met angry spirits, sad ones, nosey ones, ones stuck in limbo, shadow people, some that were never human and defiantely mean, and others were very nice and calming to be around.

It got a lot better once I left the south, and moved north.  Where we moved too the only ones i heard or saw were relatives, or connected to the family by friendship.  Than when we began the paper route it changed somewhat.  There is a shadow person on the last route that I have, and of course the street has NO street lights.  Its a fairly new division though so I am rather curious as to why this spirit is there.  Another that I didn't deliver to, TG, but my husband did, and about a year ago the original owner died, and a family with two kids moved in, but they moved out about three months ago.  We don't know if they were murdered or something, but that old man was defianetly angry about something.

Of course we have had two families move out since we moved into this apartment building.  They were having problems with footsteps going up and down ALL night long inbetween the four apartments.  We just ignored it, but they couldn't handle it anymore.  Especially when they would open the door and the smaller kids would start screaming "Monster!  Monster!" in chippewa.

My husband's deceased uncle was very dark and even had the implanted fangs.  It dosen't take a genius to figure out which one was scaring them.  Needless to say not too many people bother us, and will not even step foot in our door unless they are directly invited because of experinces that they have head in front of our apartment, or inside.

They're not bad, or evil, but they can be mischievious and mean if they feel you have over stepped boundaries.  I also watch it but that is because although a slap along the back of your head from a ghost dosen't hurt, it is pretty d**n cold!

  6. Don't laugh, this is TOTALLY true! Several years ago we lost our beloved doberman to a sudden stroke. My husband and I were devastated. When I was teaching myself to crochet I made her a little blanky, which we never got rid of after she died. After a few weeks of her death that blanket would somehow end up on our bed during the night! It happened several times and we finally just decided she was still with us. One day I was having a particularly bad day, thinking of her, missing her and crying a lot. That night (In my sleep, I think) I walked out to the garage and she was there to greet me! She gave me kisses and I hugged and pet her! It was VERY real! Obviously, she could not talk but she somehow communicated to me not to be sad, that she was OK and no longer paralysed! Such a wonderful sense of peace I had the next morning!

I know, it's "just a dog" but we loved that dog as a member of our family and she knew it!

  7. I have so many!  The first one was my grandfather who passed away when I was 2.  At age 5, he would come and play with me in the room he died in.  It kinda disturbed my mother to find me talking to him, though.  When I was about 8 yrs old, the houses down the street from me were bought out to be demolished for a new freeway.  One of the buildings was The Kennedy School for the Gifted, located about 3 blocks from my house.  My friends were boosting me up to go through a window and unlock the back door (I was always the smallest)  so we could explore the house.  As soon as I could see through the window, I saw ghosts of kids walking around in there and started yelling for them to put me down!! Now!!  They managed to get in, I stayed outside in the sunshine.  Since then, I've probably seen close to 50 ghosts over the years of investigating and sometimes, just finding them.   My favorite was of a mischievous older man who lived in our last home.  He liked our dog and once gave him a dog treat.  We knew it was the ghost because it was a different brand than the one we buy.  He also wanted my husband to quit smoking and would hide his lighter.  The most disturbing ghost I've seen was of a murder victim who died in an horrific, painful way.  She's very sad and confused still.  One of my daughters had a very haunted house - there were 3 ghosts in there and they finally had to move; it was too much for my poor son in law, <grin>.

  8. I just posted this answer to a similar question.  I did not actually see this presence, but I felt her.

While my husband was dying last year his mother was here in the house with us for months (she passed away more than 20 years ago). I felt her comforting presence many times, and she was seen in our house on 4 separate occasions by 4 different people.

Most of the time she stayed in the upstairs hallway - I was very aware of her there. Sometimes she came into our bedroom. When my husband was sleeping he would sometimes smile and wave to someone, and I always believed it was her. At other times he spoke to me as if I was beside him, when I was actually on the other side of the room.

I talked to her a number of times, and the last time I talked to her it was to tell her that her son, my husband, was no longer in the house as he had gone to palliative care. I think she was a bit confused about where he was, as we had often left the house for hours or days at a time, but until then he had always come back. At that time I told her that she needed to come with me and I would take her to him, and she did come with me, and I never again felt her in the house.

The last interesting part about this story is that I just got back to my house a few days ago after being away for three months. For those three months I was very sad, but since I have been here in the house I know that I feel different - settled, content. It is as if my husband is here - something is making me feel more content, and I believe in some way, it is him.

  9. Though i said this a few times but since you recently asked this question i will say my answer again :)

“I was six and lived in Trenton , MI . When the family and I were sitting on the living room couch watching TV, we all of the sudden heard a loud crash that sounded like glass breaking.  We ran down stairs to find the remains a light bulb in swept into a dust pan with a broom standing next to it , between that experience many things happened in that home such as things flying across the TV stand onto the floor was one creepy experience.Another is when  my mother one day was doing laundry and something screamed boo in her ear . What ever was there  pushed me when i was watching tv, in the back with a almost like a smack and shortly after that i ran to my mom,  she had told me at night she would hear footsteps around her bed at night on a daily basis.”
