  1. that's brilliant amy. you finally made me laugh out loud. i have sat many times before my wood fire, reading by 12 volt light (battery charged piggyback by my car on essential trips), and listening to my wind up radio, feeling very smug indeed. didnt feel too good getting plugged back in to the grid, so i spent some of my pension money on shares in a wind farm. ahhh, smug again. it feels sooo good...

  2. Hah I have found myself chuckling a few times as I've gone past gas stations on my electric moped :-)

  3. You bet! I've owned two cars in my life for the grand total of four months (and both in exceptional circumstances). I cycle to work, never use aircon, recycle as much as I can, love low-impact camping...

    Yep, I'm smug AND arrogant!

Put me down for an opus-style "thbbft"!

And Manda, don''t encourage Johnnie with his "in a million years we'll be OK stuff"! I checked the age question to see if he had answered so we can see when dementia starts to kick in but he hasn't told us...

    Thanks for the daily smile!

  4. Where do U think our present supply of oil came from?? Wrong not fossil animal but fossil plants. The plants capture the sun's energy and store it as oil like olive oil . The plants have done it for millions of years and is presently continuing it. We will never run out of fossil fuel.

  5. It's not "oil grief" - it's dollar anger.

  6. LOL Don't I wish...
