  1. It's usually hot in August.  You can never be certain - it all depends which way the wind is blowing.  You can get more or less anywhere on the lake by boat, catamaran and hydrofoil - so there's bound to be somewhere you like whatever your tastes.  And be sure to take a trip into Verona (it's a short hop by train from Pesciera del Garda).

  2. august,30,32°.call me if you need more info.

  3. It 's nice to go swimming in, take some rubber (jelly) shoes as it is rocky underneath.

Sirmione is lovely, a nice place to go shopping or get coffee.

There is quite a bit of night life, a lot of people watching goes on and you should be able to grab a nice gallato.

You'll have a great time, normally it's really quite hot during the day and warm enough for a light sweater in the evening.

  5. The average temperatures in August are around 28 degrees C (82 deg F), but it can be quite a bit warmer on individual days.

There's a lot of activity around the lake in August. Limone has a series of live music events plus several "Limone under the stars" nights. There are a series of regattas based out of Riva del Garda in the north. The golf club at Salo will have some events as well.

In mid August, there should be a fireworks display in Desenzano. Sirmione also has a festival with fireworks. The date for this year hasn't been set yet. The fireworks in Riva del Garda are at the end of the month. Rustico Medioevo in Canale di Tenno is a good Medieval folklore festival. In Lazise, the Festa della Madonna della Neve is held in August. The palio in Garda is a rowing competition between the various neighborhoods.

My favorite places around the lake are Sirmione, Malcesine, and Limone. Sirmione has a scenic castle, a large Roman ruin, thermal baths, ... Malcesine also has a large castle above the lake with an interesting museum. There are also cable cars up the mountain.
