I haven't, but i live in Guanajuato, and i knew a few people that have done that, they're excellent people, and the ones i had the chance to talk with, were very pleased with the whole experience, i know i wont give you the answer you're looking for cause i haven't done that, i have attended some immersion programs and i had a blast( but not spanish ones in this cities), i got the chance to get to know some very good friends now, i have got many contacts and even though i can't see them almost at all, i'm still friend with many of this people i got the chance to know thanks to this kinds of programs, and i have a also very good friends that came here on that programs =), i actually going to one of thems wedding next year =P

i don't know if this can help you with any doubt but i just can say that the experience its amazing.
