  1. Our family of 4 went on a Disney Cruise the beginning of June.  It was a 4 night cruise that was absolutely fabulous!  It was or first cruise so we did a shorter cruise and included a land package also.

I would highly recomend checking Disney out.  They have a number of different cruises to pick from and their service is A+.  Very family friendly and still will give you time for just the two of you.

You don't say how old your kids are, but there are plenty of things to do for all ages. One thing that is very nice is that they watch the children very well so parents can enjoy their time too.

  2. Oh wow! We did the same thing for our 10th with our 3 children! We took a Disney cruise and it was such a fabulous vacation for all of us! We did the 3 night Bahamas cruise but they offer 4 night cruises as well as 7 night cruises. Disney goes above and beyond any service I have ever seen on any other cruise we've been on- as a matter of fact, we are so spoiled by Disney we'll probably never go on another cruise but that one! If you have girls, make sure they bring princess dress up dresses and if you have boys, you can bring pirate costumes- there is this really fun pirate night on board. The kids clubs are fantastic and really have great activities for the kids as well as excellent security. Go onto Disneycruise.com and request a free DVD from them. We're going again in a few months and can't wait!

  3. All of the mass market cruises will have a lot of activities for kids as well as adults.  I would recommend a 7 day cruise as the shorter cruises tend to be more partying oriented.  Western Caribbean has alot of varied activities. Look at www.cruisecritic.com

  4. royal caribbean is great for all ages. my family and our family friends just went and everyone had a great time. us kids (ages 16, 17, 15, and 12) all had tons of fun and we basically stayed separated from the parents until dinner. they had alot of fun too. we all loved RC and i don't think we'll ever cruise with another company.

  5. SInce you are celebrating an anniversary I would suggest Carnival Cruise Lines if you are looking for more for yall to do and a cheaper price for toting the whole family. I would go Disney if you have younger children who need to occupied more of the time and if you have the extra money. I have been on both Carnival and Disney cruises.  Disney is a great ship but they are more pricey than Carnival.  Disney caters to children more than adults(although there is an adult only pool and beach) .  Carnival offers both but has a little less for the kiddies to do .  Disney does have the characters onboad and offers a fine cusine.  One upside to Disney is their private island, Castaway Cay (this is the original island from the show Gilligan's Island).  This island is breathtaking and you get to spend most of the day there.  Ashore they have a buffet and all kinds of watersports and adventures.  Castaway Cay is split up into different beaches: Aduls, Family, Teens.  Carnival offers fun deck parties and an array of nightly entertainment (although some is 18 and older). I'm sure you would be happy on either one.

  6. I would have to say a Carnival Cruise.

They have so many activities for the children.

Disney?  I have heard many down sides to that cruise line.

We thought about taking one a few years back, but we didn't get a lot of great reviews on it and it was more money too.

    :-)
