Have you been on a gap year?

If so where did you go, did you enjoy it, how did you organise your trip, how long did you go for, how much did it cost and any other info on it. Thanks for your answers.

Not during my service for such a long time like one year. Ofcourse I had gaps of 15 to 30 days at a time several times visiting hillstations in india and enjoying different culture language, scenic beauty etc. Well  it is difficult to exactly give the cost of  each trip as many places had official accomodation at subsidised rates.

Im just aout to go to Thailand for 12 months, to teach english voulntarly with a charity called Project Trust. I reccomend it to anyone! I have just come off a training course and will be leaving the end of august.

I recon a gap year should be done by everyone, it really changes lives!!

Yeah, i've actually had 2, I left college back in 2006, I decided to take one GAP year, I saved up over £10,000 and then took a second GAP year, went to japan and some other European countries and blew £5,000, so I got a small loan and am starting a course this September.
